The Xylem Photolab Test Kit Fe-1 TP is a reliable photometric test kit designed for the accurate measurement of iron (Fe) in water. It includes 100 powder pillow tests requiring a 10 ml sample volume and is compatible with pHotoFlex photometers, providing precise iron concentration readings in the range of 0.00 to 1.80 mg/l Fe.
Product Features
- 100 powder pillow tests per kit for convenient and consistent sampling
- Sample volume required: 10 ml for efficient and easy testing
- Compatible with pHotoFlex photometers for iron range 0.00 – 1.80 mg/l Fe
- Photometric measurement for accurate iron quantification
- Compact test kit suitable for both field and laboratory use
Note: For the determination of total iron, Crack Set 10 and empty round cuvettes or Crack-Set 10-C are required. These are treated at 120 °C for 1 hour to prepare samples.
Additional Information
The Fe-1 TP test uses the TPTZ reaction method. Other related models use different reagents: Models 14549 and 14761 use Triazine; Model 14896 and Model FE-2 TP use 2.2’-dipyridine, which allows differentiation between Fe2+ and Fe3+. The methods comply with DIN 38406E1 and US Standard Method 3500-Fe LD.
Applications
- Wastewater analysis
- Drinking water quality monitoring
- Foodstuffs testing
