Luer tapers that are constructed to meet ISO 594-1 and 594-2 standards
Rotating locks minimize twisting and kinking of tubing during positioning
Tapered cone seals are reliable and uncomplicated
Facilitate single-use configurations that minimize downtime
These luer fittings come in many configurations and several materials, joining tubing from 1/16" (1.6 mm) ID to 1/4" (6.4 mm) ID. The taper of the female luer is designed to match the taper of the male luer, creating a secure and leak-free connection when the two parts are joined together. The 400 series barb provides easy assembly while maintaining excellent pressure and tensile capabilities. Originally created for semi-rigid tubing, this series is preferred for applications where tensile/pressure properties are not highly critical, or when ease of assembly is desired. The 400 series expands the tubing 25% above its nominal inside diameter. Because the fittings are made to ISO standards that are well understood globally, it ensures proper interconnections and often removes the need to retrofit*.
Polypropylene is clarified and produced without any animal derived components or phthalates. It can be sterilized using gamma radiation, Ethylene oxide (EtO), E-beam, or autoclave.
