Sanitary fittings ensure a reliable connection while facilitating easy cleaning and preventing the buildup of bacteria or other contaminants. The 600 Series barbs are designed for use with flexible tubing commonly used in food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology applications. Tubing is expanded from 18% to 34% above its nominal ID to maintain a low profile and ease of assembly, and the straight barb stem facilitates use of recommended cable tie retainers or hose clamps. These adapters are available in various materials to accommodate various applications and compliance requirements. Transparent polypropylene (PP) is suitable for Gamma radiation, ethylene oxide (EtO), E-beam, and autoclave sterilization.
