GUNT HM 500.15 - Bypass Flow Meter

The GUNT HM 500.15 - Bypass Flow Meter is designed for installation in the water circuit of the HM 500 trainer. Flow rate measurement is achieved using a combination of an orifice plate flow meter in the main flow and a rotameter in the bypass flow. The orifice plate constricts the main pipe cross-section, increasing flow velocity and creating a pressure drop. This pressure difference generates the bypass flow, which is measured by the rotameter. The flow rate is determined by reading the float position on the rotameter scale.
