About the Cannon CAV™ 5 Automated Viscometer Range

The Cannon CAV™ 5 is a next-generation automated kinematic viscometer platform designed for modern petroleum, lubricant and fuel testing laboratories. Built on the foundation of the industry-standard ASTM D445 method, the CAV 5 brings together the trusted capabilities of the CAV 2100, miniAV and CAV 4 into a single unified platform enhanced with greater intelligence, flexibility and reliability.

Available in three models CAV-D, CAV-R and CAV-X the range covers everything from fixed-temperature routine workflows to the most demanding multi-product testing environments. Its flexible single-bath architecture removes the constraints of fixed multi-bath systems, allowing capacity, temperature range and viscosity range to be optimised for each application.

Key innovations include TargetHeat™ for sample integrity protection, Start Optimisation for improved throughput, and WashPort™ for data accuracy assurance.
