GUNT Heat Conduction experiment Building Materials Non-metallic, Thermal Conductivity Tester, DIN 52612 Compliant, Heat Flux Measurement

GUNT Thermal insulation in building planning uses construction physics to ensure comfortable room climates year-round with minimal energy consumption. This is achieved by using building materials with high thermal resistance and low heat radiation transmission. The GUNT device investigates the thermal conductivity of various non-metallic building materials according to DIN 52612.

Product Features

  • Investigates thermal conductivity of diverse non-metallic building materials including Armaflex insulating panels, chipboard, PMMA (acrylic glass), styrofoam, polystyrene (PS), polyoxymethylene (POM), cork, and plaster
  • All samples have uniform dimensions and are placed between a heated hot plate and a water-cooled cold plate
  • Clamping device ensures reproducible contact pressure and optimal heat contact
  • Hot plate heated by an electric heating mat, cold plate temperature maintained by water cooling
  • Sensors measure temperatures at cooling water inlet and outlet as well as at the centers of both plates
  • Software-controlled temperature setting for the hot plate above the sample and the cold plate beneath
  • Temperature control system ensures constant and stable temperatures during testing
  • Heat flux passes through the sample and is measured using a specialized heat flux density sensor
  • Thermally insulated housing, including cover, maintains constant ambient conditions
  • Measured values transmitted directly via USB to PC for analysis with included software

Benefits

  • Enables precise determination of thermal conductivity of building materials essential for energy-efficient construction
  • Wide range of typical building material samples supports comprehensive comparative analysis
  • Accurate temperature control and measurement enhance reliability and repeatability of results
  • Heat flux sensor provides direct measurement of heat transfer through materials
  • Thermal insulation of device ensures minimal external influence on test conditions
  • PC connectivity and software facilitate detailed data analysis and reporting
