For Dynamic Viscosity of Non-Homogenous Materials
The DPV is an automated digital paddle viscometer for measuring dynamic viscosity of non-homogenous materials such as marine fuels, emulsified asphalts, residual oils, slurries and foods at 40 °C, 50 °C, 80 °C, and 100 °C. An optional external cooler also permits testing at 25 °C.
Common Applications
- Emulsified asphalts
- Marine fuels
- Suspensions
- Slurries
- Foods
- Paints
- Residual oils
Features & Benefits
Designed specifically for testing emulsions and other non-homogenous materials
- Removable sample cup and paddle for fast, convenient clean up between samples
- Compact, lightweight design is ideally suited for field applications
- Meets ASTM D7226/D977/D2397 requirements for asphalt emulsions
Fully automated bench-top testing
- Eliminates the mess of the manual Saybolt method
- Single touch test initiation
- Provides fast, simple, unattended operation
- Completes most tests within 10 minutes to 30 minutes
- Viscosity is automatically calculated and displayed
Test versatility
- Suitable for a variety of applications including emulsified asphalts, marine fuels, suspensions, slurries, foods, paints and residual oils
- Fully integrated heating and cooling allows testing at 40 °C, 50 °C, 80 °C and 100 °C (and at 25 °C with the water-cooled model)
- Viscosity testing range from 30 mPa·s (cP) and 30,000 mPa·s (cP) in 100 fold increments
- Digital display indicates viscosity in centipoise (cP or mPa·s) or centistokes (cSt or mm2/s)
